Before a session, I always ask my families what they most want me to capture. And more often than not, the answer is along the lines of “this moment in time, this moment in the kids’ lives.” When you have the honor of photographing a family for many years in a row, you understand this statement more than ever. This was year number eight with Sarah and Steve, and over the years, I have captured them as their family went from a baby bump, to a baby and a bump, two babies, and now two babies and a bump. What an honor. ❤️ There have been years where little Daniel and Molly have been the craziest, silliest kids on Goose Rocks Beach, and there have been years where the feelings and quieter sides of their personalities have shone through during our session. No matter what the year brings us, Sarah and Steve are always so wonderful about taking each year for what it is, and allowing me to photograph their sweet family as the current moment presents itself. This year was one of the quieter years on the beach, with temps a little cooler than usual, and kiddos who felt more like snuggling than running. Coupled with a gorgeous Goose Rocks sunset, and Sarah’s beautiful baby bump, we had a session that was full of love, snuggles, excitement, and beautiful light overlooking this really special family of four – soon to be five! It is always a highlight of my year to see these guys, and I am so excited to share this years sweet and lovable session from their special annual Maine vacation.
