Every year, I head north to MDI and Acadia National Park a few times for family sessions, and while the drive is long, it is always worth it. I love the island, and usually take advantage of the trip to soak up a little quiet time and some yummy food (hello, lobster roll!) before my sessions. A few weeks ago I made the trip up to meet with the extended “S” Family. After a gorgeous afternoon in town enjoying my treats and taking in the warm air, I headed to Sand Beach, where the weather had a mind of its own. The temps were cool, and I think it’s safe to say the wind was even wicked at times. But if I had to brave the elements with any family, I’m so glad it was the extended “S” Family. Visiting Maine from the midwest, these guys were total champs, waiting out huge wind gusts, and making me laugh throughout our time together. Their vacation this year was to celebrate Phil and Katie’s 60th anniversary, and I’m so happy they decided to commemorate this special occasion with photos of their beautiful family. Here are my favorites!
