The B Family | Kennebunkport Maine Family Photographer

As photographers, we spend a lot of time photographing families in amazing light. So naturally, when it is time for our own photos, we cross all crossables that we’ll be gifted with such luck. When fellow photographer and friend Brittany reached out to me about this year’s session, and her big plans for it, I dreamed of the perfect night, because for this plan, only the perfect night would do. Brittany and Dean (the amazing duo behind Two Adventurous Souls Photograhy), hired Lucy, a gorgeous decked-out VW van, courtesy of the Maine Photo Booth Bus Company, for this year’s session. In the days leading up to the session, Hurricane Isaias was creeping up the coast, and we were unsure if we’d be able to do the session as planned. But thankfully Isaias moved along quickly, and even more thankfully, we had the MOST perfect evening we could have possibly had for this session. The puffy clouds and cotton candy skies at Colony Beach were a stunning backdrop to Lucy the bus, Brittany, Dean, and their two girls Bryleigh and Everly. To make the night even more special, Brittany hand-made her dress and the girl’s shirts, and the way everything came together so totally perfectly was nothing short of amazing. I won’t lie, I kind of want to plaster these pictures all over MY walls, but I know that might be kind of weird, so instead, I’ll plaster this post with all of my favorites, and cross my fingers that Brittany and Dean enjoy these on their walls for years to come.
