Pluto {John Bapst High School Class of 2025} | Maine Senior Photographer

Oh my goodness did September gift me with some amazing adventures. I don’t even know where to start when explaining how incredible my night was with Pluto and their parents for their senior session. Maybe we start with the boat ride from the Yacht Club to Burnt Island on a gorgeous September evening. Or maybe we talk about the hidden treasure that is Burnt Island and it’s lighthouse (a place I didn’t even know existed!). Or maybe we talk about how the red top of the lighthouse matched Pluto’s super fun red hair, Or maybe it’s the incredibly exhilarating, exciting and terrifying few minutes we got to spend ON TOP OF A LIGHTHOUSE (with very few barriers!) thanks to Jay, one of the lighthouse keepers, who popped out of nowhere and offered to give us access (BUCKET LIST! 🤩). Wherever we start, I think I could talk about this evening forever, because it was so unbelievably magical and I am so grateful that all the elements came together to give Pluto the senior session they wanted.

Pluto is a senior at John Bapst in Bangor, but spends their summers in Boothbay, where they play tennis and sail. At school they have made the varsity tennis team since freshman year, and outside of school they love going to concerts (shoutout to Noah Kahan’s Fenway night one and Taylor’s rain show in Boston – so fun to learn we were both at both of those!) and being by the ocean. Pluto is quiet and smart. They are so easy to talk with and such a gem to have in front of the camera. It was so fun watching them relax in their happy place and soak up the beauty of the coast of Maine for their senior photos. I think we can safely say that no other JB senior this year will have photos from the same location! Many thanks to Pluto and their parents for such a special evening, and I wish them all the best as they head to the next phase of their life post-graduation. Here are my many, many favorites from our very special evening.
