The G Family {Higgins Beach} | Scarborough Maine Family Photographer

Last weekend I met Caitlyn, Mike, 8-year-old Piper, 5-year-old Alex, and their cute puppy Opie for the first time. This family recently moved to Maine and they were excited for their first family session in their new home state. I offered Higgins as a location as it’s my favorite beach in greater Portland, and was so excited when they agreed that it looked like the perfect spot. On a miraculously beautiful Saturday evening (IYKYK, Mainers!), we spent about five minutes exploring the rocks of Higgins before the kids beelined it to the water, and it was game-on for a soaking wet beach session. I don’t think Piper and Alex have any nerve endings in their legs haha, because while I’m usually super excited to hop in the water with the kids, it was freeeeeeeeezing cold on this June evening. The chilly water made no difference to these two though, who went all-in, jumping waves, looking for crabs, and climbing on the rocky coast of this special location. I loved meeting this super sweet family and am excited to share my favorites from our candid and fun evening on the beach!
