Camden {Yarmouth High School Class of 2026} | Yarmouth Maine Senior Photographer

Last year when my daughter was heading into her freshman year, I told her that one of the most special things about high school is that you get to branch out from your grade and meet new friends outside of the group you’ve been with for the past nine years. I am so happy to share that Camden became one of these new friends last fall. From the second I met Camden during one of many post-rehearsal pick ups, I knew I liked her. She was bubbly, happy, kind, not afraid to talk to adults, and made my kid laugh a lot. Over the past year I’ve learned a lot about Camden just from her interactions with Molly. For example, when Camden was cast as a Fate in the Yarmouth Playmakers fall musical of Hadestown, Teen Edition (never going to stop talking about that show!), Molly was cast as her understudy. Rather than feeling threatened by having an understudy, Camden took her under her wing, helped Molly learn the role, and together they were a team ready to rock no matter who ended up on stage. If you were lucky enough to see the shows, you’ll remember Camden as the sultry Fate with the powerful low voice and amazing harmonies.

I was super excited when Camden asked me to take her senior photos in October, and loved that it gave me a chance to photograph her, but also to learn more about her. What I learned as we prepared for her session is that Camden is strong-willed in the best way, intelligent, determined, very funny, and very fun. Her big dreams include going to college to double major in architecture and engineering. With her zest for life, learning, and determination, I know she is going to move mountains and be very successful wherever she goes.

For Camden’s senior photos, we headed to Fels Grove Field in Yarmouth. She wanted moody woods and field photos, and the grey skies at the beginning with a hint of glowing sun towards the end gave us just what we were looking for. You are amazing Camden – thanks for being so awesome, such a good friend to my kid, and such a valuable and special part of the Yarmouth Playmakers. I can’t wait to see where you land next year!
