It is still crazy to me that I took Josh’s senior photos this fall. I have known Josh and his family since elementary school, with his sister Mollie and my daughter Molly being the two of the same name in their grade. Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know Josh, Mollie, mom Jill, and dad Seth. While our paths crossed off and on over the years, the past few years we have reconnected as our kids became involved in the same activities once again. I have always loved this family, and the things I knew about them years ago hold true today. This is a family that not only likes each other, but truly loves each other, loves to spend time together, respects, and supports each other. They are incredibly close-knit and I think their bond is really beautiful.
When Jill mentioned last year that Josh wanted me to take his senior photos, I was honored and thrilled. Over the past few years, I have watched Josh excel on stage both as a Yarmouth Playmaker, and in youth theater performances at Maine State Music Theater. His performance as Hades in Hadestown, Teen Edition at Yarmouth High School this fall was one for the books, securing his spot as a memorable member of the Playmakers for years to come. Offstage, Josh is a stellar student, with a silly and playful personality, a member of the swim team (a nod to his love of swimming at the end of this post! 💦), an active member of his church, and a brave and resilient young man, who has been handed a tough hand over the past few years and has persevered in many ways. He has dreams of going to school to study chemistry and I have no doubt in my mind that he will make a big difference wherever he lands.
Josh – it has been a true pleasure watching you grow into the incredible young man you are today, and I know this is just the beginning for you. ✨ Thank you for this fun session at Wolfes’s Neck Woods celebrating your senior year!
