Madeleine {19 Days} | Maine and Connecticut Newborn Photographer

I have been looking forward to this post for some time now. Because not only is today’s post featuring one really really cute newborn and her beautiful family, but it is also featuring some of the most special people in my life. I am so excited to introduce you all to my 19-day old niece, Madeleine! We finally got to meet her on Saturday, on a day that was huge for so many reasons. Maddie, my brother Rion, and his girlfriend Sara all live in Connecticut, and last weekend we got our covid tests and left Maine for the first time in over a year. We also got to see Rion and Sara’s new house (yup, they bought a house with a baby on the way, during a pandemic, AND during the holidays – ROCKSTARS!), and I had the extreme honor of taking their newborn photos and introducing Maddie to life with a photographer Auntie. I know I may be a little biased, but Maddie is pretty darn perfect in my book, and during our day with her, she hardly ever cried, even as we transitioned her between people and in and out of a bunch of different outfits. She is one chill kiddo, and her big eyes and sweet faces stole our hearts immediately. Rion and Sara have some of the biggest hearts in the world – seriously – and have given so much love to my family, especially in their roles as aunt and uncle to our Molly, and I am emotional in the best possible way thinking of what incredible parents they will be to Madeleine. This is one lucky little girl, and I can’t wait to give back to all of them with love and joy as we watch this sweet girl grow. Here are my favorites from their first real photo session.
