I am so excited to share Margaret with you all today, with favorites from her headshot session on a gorgeous evening last week at Sandy Point Beach on Cousins Island in Yarmouth. Margaret’s purpose for her session is worth sharing, and I am so grateful to her for reminding me why what I do is so very important. As they aged, Margaret’s parents would have themselves photographed every year, and even after her father passed, her mother continued the tradition, and gave her children a photograph of herself every Christmas. At the time, the children thought the gesture was nice, but a little silly. Now, however, after having said goodbye to both parents, Margaret and her siblings have realized the priceless value of the images of their parents later in life, and she shared that the photos are some of her most prized possessions. Margaret wanted to continue this tradition for herself and her children, and I have to say, she has convinced me to do the same as I get older as well.
Margaret is soft-spoken and kind, and I felt such a peace inside after spending a half hour with her on the beach in our hometown – a town she has called home for 36 years. I am so honored she asked me to take these special and important photographs, and am excited to share favorites from our gorgeous evening along the water.
