Rene & Mike {Higgins Beach} | Scarborough Maine Couples Photographer

I am so excited to share today’s session with Rene and Mike at Higgins Beach. I have known Renee for years now, as she is the very talented eye behind Rene Roy Photography, and has been in the business for a long time like me. I was so thrilled when they reached out for photos and was super excited to meet Mike, who I felt like I knew from Facebook but whom I had never had the pleasure of meeting in person. What was extra special about this session, besides getting these guys in front of my cameras, was how much FUN they have together. These two are simply meant to be. The laughs were huge, they were not afraid to be goofy together, or to dance, laugh, and play my silly games – both Mike and Rene were all in on our session, making it adventurous, lighthearted, totally fun, and so full love! We did not get the pretty sunny day they were hoping for, but as it so often goes at Higgins, the cloudy light was magical, and actually complimented their outfits so well. They started casual and then broke out the dress clothes for some really beautiful moments as the light got deeper. Rene and Mike are SUCH a blast to photograph. It’s always equally an honor and totally terrifying to have another photographer in front of my camera – so I am grateful for both the opportunity and for how easy these two made it for me to capture their beautiful love.
