The B Family | Wells Maine Family Photographer

Every year I find myself at some of the same beaches throughout the summer. Drakes Island in Wells has always been in the back of my mind, but has not been one I’ve jumped at regularly – until this year. This was my third session of the season at this gorgeous spot, and hopefully not the last, as Drakes offers the best of everything – gorgeous sea grass, a long sandy beach, rocks, and always amazing light. Today’s session at Drakes is with Jill, Dwight, Shawn, and Quinn, a family that I’ve had the pleasure of photographing a few times now when they visit Wells from Connecticut. What I love the most about this family is how willing they are to play – to get their hands and feet dirty and wet, and how awesome both Jill and Dwight are about hopping in the water and being silly and fun with their kids. I always love capturing sweet Shawn with his little glasses, and Quinn grew about a foot since I last saw her last summer. Her sweet quiet charm had me giggling as I photographed and edited this session. Here are my many favorites of this beautiful family on a perfect playful evening on the beach.
