The C Family | Orrs Island Maine Family Photographer

It’s not often that I get to have outdoor sessions in January, and it’s pretty much never that I get to have outdoor sessions in January that look and feel like early spring – and on the water nonetheless. But this was just the case for the extended “C” Family last week, who welcomed me with open arms to their beautiful home on Orrs Island for an early morning session. Our morning was mild and calm, and the soft light was so pretty amongst this gorgeous family. This crew has been through a lot over the past year – welcoming a very premature little guy into the family while simultaneously working in healthcare during a pandemic, and their home on the coast of Maine is a spot of peace and calm for this family of Bowdoin grads. Little Malcolm stole the show as we took pictures of him with his mom and dad, auntie, and grandparents and then enjoyed a little play time in the beautiful open air living room of the house. This was such a special and lovely way to kick off my 2021 sessions, and I’m so grateful this incredible crew asked me to capture them together in a place that means so much to them.
