I spend a lot of my summer photographing families on the beach. But it’s not every day that I get to photograph at a beach that is practically in the woods too, so today’s post is an extra fun one! Sebago Lake is a popular spot in Southern Maine, but outside of visiting Point Sebago Resort occasionally, I don’t tend to get up there too often. So I was super excited when the extended “C” Family decided to do their session at Sebago Lake State Park while on their Maine vacation a few weeks ago. We found a spot in the park where the woods literally meet the beach, and I loved capturing this sweet family as they celebrated being together for Judy and John’s 50th anniversary. Be sure to continue all the way to the end of the post to see the incredibly special gift their sons made for them – a plaque featuring Stanley’s 175th anniversary 2019 tape measure – commemorating the place Judy and John met while they were working there 50 years ago. Here are my many favorites of this beautiful and fun family in a place and on a trip that had so much meaning to them.
