It’s been five years since I last had the pleasure of hanging out with Christine, Izzy, and James, and I was super excited to see them again this summer. I’ve been photographing these three since James was a newborn and Izzy a little toddler, so to see them all grown up as big (awesome!) kids, was such a treat. Christine chose Reid State Park for their session, a well-known favorite of mine, and also a spot that was hammered by the brutal storms this winter and spring. I was a little nervous to see the damage, but have to give huge props to the crews who put this place back to almost normal over the past few months. While some things are different – the loss of the boardwalk, the new shape of the dunes, some broken paths, and the new no-longer- in-line location of the viewfinders 😳 – Reid has certainly maintained it’s charm and was a perfect backdrop for these three. Izzy has grown into such a sweet young girl – now in her double digits and a total Swiftie and big fan of twirling in her fun dress. James is a total goofball and such a love – and was super excited for some photos in his Jordan jersey. And as always, Christine is their rock – loving and kind, and doing an amazing job as their mom. I love hanging out with these three and am so happy we had such a gorgeous evening for our special session at Reid.
