The D Family {Camp Ellis} | Saco Maine Family Photographer

Every fall I get to spend a chilly morning or afternoon with the D Family, and I was SO excited when Jenny reached out this year for a SUMMER session! This family is so darn cute, I almost can’t handle it and I have loved capturing little Abe and Luke grow up alongside their awesome parents Jenny and Ryan. This year they took me to Camp Ellis, a place I’ve only experienced for fun, and never for photos, so I was excited to bring my camera to this special place along the coast. The haze from the Canadian wildfires was pretty thick on this early August evening, and while we don’t get a pretty summer glow when this happens, we do often get really cool light. On this evening, the light was super soft, hazy, and blue. The pink skies were setting behind us, but the haze made for a beautiful blue sky over an ocean that looked almost Caribbean-esque as the tide came in. Both Abe and Luke grew up so much this year. Abe is a total goofball, always ready to run and play, and Luke is quietly hilarious with a smile that will melt your heart in an instant. It’s always a good time with this crew, and I loved our hazy Camp Ellis August evening!
