If it were up to me, I’d do beach sessions all year long. Summer, fall, winter, or spring – the beach is always gorgeous, and while the chilly months often feel a bit cooler on the beach, there’s something about the peace and quiet and serenity of just being on the sand and listening to the waves, without the hustle and bustle of the summer beach crowds. On Sunday I met the extended “D” Family on Old Orchard Beach, a place that is always full of hustle and bustle in the warmer months, but was sleepy and peaceful on a chilly but calm afternoon before the snow hit on Sunday night. These guys were spending their weekend after Thanksgiving in OOB, visiting from Pennsylvania and New York to enjoy college hockey and time together. The chance to capture all of them in one place was worth it for a short time on the beach in December. This family is super sweet, tight-knit, and so photogenic. Here are my favorites of our fun session – many thanks to all of them for asking me to capture them together during their time in Maine.
