The Extended K Family {Harkness Memorial State Park} | New England Family Photographer

It’s a special one today here on the blog, because not only are the gorgeous people in the photos below clients, but they are also family. ❤️ I have been taking photos for Alicia and Josh for many many years now, beginning way back in 2013 when they were just engaged, and well before Josh’s sister Sara was my future sister-in-law. Fast forward 10 years and I’ve had the opportunity to not only photograph Josh and Alicia and their growing family – now with two adorable little guys Augustus and Colson; but also them alongside their whole extended family including my brother Rion, his fiancé Sara, and their girls (my nieces!) Maddie and Sophia; and Josh and Sara’s mom and dad Joyce and Pete.

We were supposed to take these photos here in Maine last November, but were rained out. Rather than having the entire crew plan another trip north, I offered to travel to Connecticut to visit and take photos closer to everyone’s Connecticut homes. We ended up at Harkness Memorial State Park in Waterford – a total gem of a find. This place is huge – with mansions, fields, flowers, and even a beach. It was the perfect place for extended family photos with this gorgeous crew. I loved capturing them all together, watching the cousins play and be silly, and of course snuggling all over my nieces who I don’t get to see nearly as often as I would like since we live so far apart. It was a wonderful night of family, fun, love, and connection, and I’m so grateful to have all of these wonderful people in front of my lens and in my life. Here are my many favorites from our evening in Connecticut!
