The Extended “R” Family {Higgins Beach} | Scarborough Maine Family Photographer

I’m pretty sure the extended “R” Family have some sort of awesome contract with the weather gods (knock on wood!), because for each of the three times I have worked with this crew, we have had nights with light to remember. This year we took a big risk – scheduling the session on one day without a rain date and we all held our breath as the weather changed about twenty times before the big day. But thanks to whatever weather gods were on our side this year, we had an absolutely stunning evening at our favorite place – Higgins Beach. Most of this crew live in Kansas, and some live right here in my town of Yarmouth, and they come together every year for the Yarmouth Clam Festival. There are two new babies in the family since our last session in 2021, so it was definitely time for updated photos, and I’ll tell you, the cuteness of this crew is simply overwhelming. Grandparents Nancy and Greg sure do have a lot to be proud of, and I often find myself overwhelmed with gratitude with extended families seeing all the beauty created from the love of just two people. This family is unbelievably kind, fun, and incredibly sweet. Among the many highlights of our evening was the moment when Nancy and kiddos surrounded me in a circle at the end and gave me a good ‘ol “hip, hip, hooray!” and group thank you.  It’s people like this and moments like that that give me so much gratitude of my own for what I get to do and the people it brings to me. ❤️ Enjoy this beautiful session, this wonderful family, and our incredibly gorgeous Higgins Beach evening.
