The F and G Families {Bar Harbor} | Maine Family and Lifestyle Photographer

Three years ago, I met Katie and Ben, and Alli and Nick, and their awesome kiddos – Ginny, Rock, Rose, and Mae during their first vacation to Maine. Since that evening, I’ve had the extreme pleasure of getting to see and photograph this crew each year as they have made it a tradition for their families to come together in Maine for some rest and relaxation in their new special place. For the first two years, we adventured around Peaks Island, and last year I traveled to Brooklin where we hung out at their vacation home. This year we headed to one of my most favorite places, Bar Harbor, for a session full of fun on Mount Desert Island. Our sessions together are always two hours, and I love our longer sessions as they give us plenty of time to both explore and do group photos. We started out on the path to Bar Island (a very cool sandbar only accessible an hour and a half before and after low tide!), and then made our way through town to the shore path where we did family photos on by the dock of the Margaret Todd. We were unsure about the weather, and while it stayed dry, you might actually think these photos were taken over a few days not hours, as the light was all over the place. It went from cloudy, to sunny, to foggy, to normal-ish(?!) as we made our way around our different places. Maine doing it’s Maine thing, for sure! As always, I left wanting more time with this special group, and I’m already looking forward to wherever next year’s adventure will take us.
