If you’ve spent any time in Maine over the past month or so, you’ll know we are having one “wicked” wet summer. The last week in June was no exception, and with several sessions on my plate that week, nervous was an understatement. As luck would have it though, I was able to get in all of my sessions that week, including my time with Amber, Steve, Luke, and Max. We were rained out on our first date, but luckily our rain date was looking dry, albeit quite grey. We moved up the time of our session, and as it goes, the sun came out in the last fifteen minutes. ???? Oy. The ever-changing light and skies did not put any damper on my time with this family though, who were just so excited to have be captured together in their favorite spot.

This was the first time I met this crew, but they have been visiting southern Maine every summer for many years, and decided this year family photos in their summer spot was a must-do. Amber and Steve are so easy to talk with, and so great about interacting and playing with their boys. Luke is 11-going-on-18, with a maturity and charm that blew me away, and Max is full of huge energy and giggles, ready to take the world by storm with his awesome zest for life around him. I loved capturing this family as they snuggled, chased, told silly stories, and enjoyed each other and our time together on a beautifully serene evening at Wells Beach. Here are my favorites!
