A few years ago when I was working at Yarmouth High School, I met Cynthia, Skylar and Kaitlyn as they just moved to town and I helped to register Skylar at the high school. During my few years there, Skylar and Kaitlyn always greeted me with kindness and smiles, and brought a certain light with them whenever they walked into the office. When I left the school, Skylar was a junior and Kaitlyn a freshman, and now, several years later they are both off to college this fall (together at the same school!). Last year, the girls purchased Cynthia a photo session of the three of them as a gift, and we were able to get our session in just in time a few weeks ago before the girls left. I met them at their home here in town, which was a perfect backdrop for these three on a gorgeous August evening. As a mother to a daughter myself, I spend my days hoping we stay close as she grows older, and it is so obvious that Cynthia has made this happen with her girls. These three are close-knit, smart, silly, sweet, and so much fun, and it was so wonderful to not only see the girls become young women, but to capture them together and with their mom before they are both out in the world starting their lives away from home. Here are my many favorites of this stunning trio – I wish Skylar and Kaitlyn all the best at school this year, and big hugs to Cynthia as she starts her new phase as an empty nester as well. ❤️
