The HD Family | Saco Maine Family Photographer

What a year it has been from behind the camera. With over 100 sessions this year, I decided to shut down my calendar a little early and take a breather through the holidays. This means that my session on Friday with the HD Family in Saco was my final family session of the year, and I can think of no better way to wrap up a crazy 2021 than with this incredible family of four. This was year number three with these guys, who I first met two Novembers ago, when little Abe was just a baby, and I was photographing Jenny and Ryan’s recently renovated home for Steinberg Custom Designs. That same day we also did family photos, and I am so grateful that they have asked me back each year since. Fast forward two years, and little Abe is now an adorably shy, yet oh-so-silly two year old, and since last November, the family has welcomed little Luke, who, like his big brother, will steal your heart in about 30 seconds with his big blue eyes and bright smile. It was a chilly day on Friday, so we kept the session indoors, enjoying the bright living room, the fun playroom (hello ball pit!), and more, and I promise you’ll want to make it to the end of this post to see their new upstairs reading nook – ah-maz-ing.  It’s always a joy to spend some time with this family, and this year was no exception.
