The M Family {Foss Mountain} | New Hampshire Family Photographer

Every season I get one or two sessions that kind of blow my mind and today’s session is definitely the winner of 2024. For a few years now, Spring has mentioned wanting to bring me to Foss Mountain in Eaton, New Hampshire, and this was the year we finally made it happen. Several years ago, she and Silas had their maternity photos taken here, and so to return with that baby, who is now 9-year old Lydia, and their second baby, now 6-year old Brogan was a pretty special thing for these awesome parents. I won’t lie, I was pretty nervous heading into this session. Not only was I reading rumors of a really rough drive to the parking lot (spoiler alert, it was fine 😂), but from a photography standpoint, when you are on top of a mountain, there is no way to filter the sun – and it is full sun until sunset. All of my fears went away instantly though, when after the 20 minute hike to the top, I was surrounded by 365 degree views of the White Mountains, and a beautiful hazy light that started magical and just got better and better and better as our evening went on. And to make it all even better, Lydia and Brogan who aren’t always super pumped about having their photos taken were totally at home and in their element, even requesting certain photos and showing me all of their favorite places on the summit. My jaw is STILL on the floor thinking about this special evening and I so hope I did this incredible location and this really special family justice with our photos.
