If you are ever having a bad day, go find the O Family. Because I’m telling you, there is no bad day out there that these five can’t make a little better. I absolutely adore this family, and since 2017 I have had the honor of taking their photos, and growing a friendship with all of them. Erin is a bright light – so good for the soul, happy, and loving. Anthony is a calm, gentle and loving soul with a heart of gold. Grace, now 9, will make you giggle as she quietly does something hilarious when she thinks you aren’t looking. Vincent, 8, is my artistic director – always telling us where and what the next photo should be, and always itching to be in the photo, too. Sophie, 7, is sweet and smiley, with the best laugh and sweetest dance moves. And Hope, 6, is the wild child, always making me laugh so hard sometimes I need to put the camera down for a second. Together, all of these incredible personalities make for a family that is full of so much love, joy, energy, and positivity. This crew is just what the world needs, and they are exactly what I need each summer when I get to spend an evening with them in Ogunquit. You’d never believe that once upon a time these kiddos didn’t love the camera. But over the years as they’ve learned that photo sessions are fun and playful, and just a night hanging out with their new friend, they’ve come to embrace it all – hamming it up, playing together, and being silly silly silly. My time with this crew simply never disappoints, and I’m always reminding them that they can move to Maine at anytime so we can hang out all year long. 😁 💕 Here are this year’s favorites from our stunning August evening on Ogunquit Beach.
