The Y Family | Yarmouth Maine Family Photographer

Today we step away from the beach for a moment for a session that is a bit near and dear to my heart. A few weeks ago I headed just down the road to the gorgeous Fels Grove Preservation here in Yarmouth – a wide open field with mowed paths that is always sun-kissed and gorgeous in the summer months. There I had the extreme pleasure of photographing Jessica, Mat, 16-year old Davis, and 14-year old Eden. I have known this family since Davis and Eden were just littles, having met Jessica in my graduate program at USM. And while I don’t see them as often as I used to, every time I bump into them, I’m floored at how much the kids have grown, and remember how much I truly love this family. What makes them seriously special though, is that throughout the years, and even now with two teenagers, you can’t spend time with this family and not know how much they all truly LIKE each other. They are a family, but they are also friends, all four of them, and so photographing them together was relaxed, natural, and so very easy to do.
