A few weeks ago, the extended “M” Family traveled to Maine from the midwest for a vacation celebrating mom Mary Jo’s birthday. To commemorate the trip, they wanted photos taken at Portland Head Light and were excited for photos with the lighthouse. My heart sank as I crossed into Cape Elizabeth and into a dense fog that almost completely hid the view of the lighthouse, even from a close distance. Rather than being upset though, these guys just rolled with it, and were such a fun group to hang out with as we started in front of the lighthouse, and then adventured down the steep path to the gorgeous rocky coastline that I love so much at this spot. On top of it all, their six children were literally the best-behaved kiddos ever, making for an easy and fun large group session despite challenging weather conditions. In the end, we got a collection of images that captures the beauty and kindness of this family in the foggy beauty of the Maine coast. Here are my many favorites of this really special family.
