Caitlin & Emory {York Harbor} | York Maine Family Photographer

Several years ago, I first met Caitlin and Emory on the shores of a rocky beach in Kittery. Since then I’ve had the extreme pleasure of seeing them a total of five times – not only capturing little Emory as she grows, but capturing the incredible bond between these two as it becomes stronger and stronger year after year. From the second I met Emory, she stole my heart with her big smile, and seriously cute blonde curls. Now, five years later, her smile is only bigger, her eyes are even brighter, and watching her become a smart and funny big kid has been such a joy. And as much as it is a pleasure to capture Emory, capturing Caitlin’s motherhood journey is equally special. Emory is her world, and the two of them are playful, loving, happy, and a beautiful representation of the bond of mother and daughter.

This year I met up with these two at the Hartley Mason Preserve and York Harbor Beach – one of my favorites for a more serene beach experience. It was a little chilly on the evening of our session so I wasn’t sure how much water fun we’d have, but Emory didn’t hesitate to hop right into the Atlantic, and Caitlin and I joined right in. There was lots of chasing, lots of snuggling, some crazy cool seaweed, and one absolutely perfect cotton candy sky as a backdrop for this beautiful duo. Picking favorites was no easy task. Thank you to Caitlin and Emory for gifting me five whole years of capturing their love together. ????
