I cannot believe I am sharing my final session of 2023 today. What a year it has been, and how quickly it went!! As I was driving to Wells last Friday for this final session of the year I was smiling thinking how perfect it was that I got to end my year on the beach – something that very rarely happens as most fall and late fall clients request fields and woods. But this year I spent my final evening of sessions on the shores of Wells Beach with Kelley, Dustin, Tanner, and Landon, and it could not have been a more perfect way to wrap up an amazing 2023. Kelley lives up north in Stonington, and wanted to do a session with her brother Dustin and the boys close to their home in southern Maine. I have such a soft spot for winter beach, so when they said they were up for a trip to my favorite beach in the southernmost part of the state, I was super pumped. Wells Beach did not disappoint, with a gorgeous and softly dramatic (yup, that’s a thing) sunset, and temps that were chilly but not out of control. I know how special and important it was for these four to get both time and photos together. They are all incredibly kind, easy-going, playful, and easy to photograph. It could not have been a more perfect session to end my year.
