The M Family {Crescent Beach} | Cape Elizabeth Maine Family Photographer

Earlier this month, I had my annual session with Spring, Silas, Lydia, and Brogan. While I’ve known Spring (a fellow photographer and owner of the fabulous Spring Smith Studios), for many years, this year was our third time with her family in front of my cameras. I think these guys have some sort of wacky weather contract going with whatever powers are in charge because both last year and this year we had to reschedule, and on all three years – even after reschedules – we’ve had nights with just fabulous light. This year we returned to Crescent Beach State Park, where we held our first session back in 2020. I was so excited to return because I’ve learned some new tricks to shooting at Crescent and had yet to bring these guys to the gorgeous grassy knoll that I like to venture to at the end of the session. Lydia and Brogan are nuts in the best possible way – full of energy, excitement, and love. Getting them to sit for photos just doesn’t really happen, and I love that Spring and Silas embrace this about their kids during our photo sessions. Time and time again we end up with photos that totally encapsulate the vibe of this crew, and that’s because the kids get to be themselves, and creating photo session magic in the process. ✨ I’m so excited about this year’s set of images – they are playful, happy, and fun – all the things that describe this beautiful family of four.
