If you followed me at all last year, you’ll know it was a big year for me in terms of all of my kiddo clients growing up (that’ll happen when you are almost 16 years into your career 😳!). But nothing, and I mean nothing prepared me for last weekend when I saw the P Family – Melanie, Greg, Ben, and Izzy. This is a family that I don’t see very often – in nine years, this was our third session, the last being in 2021. At that time, Ben was 16 and Izzy was 13 – grown up, but still young. I knew they’d both be much more grown up four years later, but when they both stepped out of the car, my breath was literally taken away. This is a big year for this family – Izzy is headed into her senior year, Ben is turning 21, and Melanie and Greg are celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary. Izzy has grown into a beautiful young woman, so mature and excited for her senior year, and active in her school’s theater community. Ben is at school at Embry-Riddle in Florida and is a kind and smart young man, almost ready to head out into the real world. Our goal for this year’s session was to take senior photos of Izzy while also celebrating all this close-knit family is celebrating in this big year. Just as they were back in 2016, this crew is so welcoming, funny, and sweet, and I am so thrilled that Melanie and Greg have continued to ask me to take their photos during their special family trips to Maine. We had a very unexpectedly gorgeous evening on Ferry Beach in Scarborough at the end of a very rainy day – a perfect sunset for this perfect family. 💕
