I’ve shot some pretty chilly sessions in my nine years as a photographer, but I think last night might have just taken the cake. The thermometer said 40 degrees, but it felt more like below zero with insane winds that at points felt like they were going to knock us over. When your family travels two hours for a session though, you do what you’ve gotta do to make it work, so Valerie, Ryan, Jack and I headed to Spring Point Ledge Lighthouse in South Portland where we skirted between buildings, hills, and the forts, finding tolerable spots for a quick few photos. If I had to have a night like last night with anyone, I’m so glad it was with these three who were the most relaxed family on the planet (seriously, baby Jack didn’t even cry once!), despite our frozen limbs and watery eyes. Here are a few sneak peeks of our cold night on the coast. More soon!
