A few weeks back I headed to York to one of my favorite spots in the area – the Hartley Mason Reservation. This gorgeous park overlooks York Harbor Beach and is such a gem along the York coastline. On this evening, I got to see Ryan, Maura, Catherine, and James, who I have worked with several times now at Higgins Beach, both as a single family unit, and also with their extended family on Maura’s side. This year, Maura and Ryan opted for some fall photos instead of beach photos. We were originally scheduled to do our session at Savage Preserve in South Berwick but drenching rains had us worried about mud, so we ventured to York instead. I think the powers that be in toddler land knew this would be a much better fit for little James, who needed alllllll the space in the world to run his little legs! This little guy is on.the.go, and his mom, dad, sister, and I spent a lot of our time following his lead, chasing him around the park, and letting him be two years old. Catherine is such a patient and awesome big sister who was so excited to help James giggle and adventure, all the while still being her seriously adorable self with laughter, silly faces, and lots of twirls. And Maura and Ryan are equally patient and so easy to work with – loving on their kids, and smiling in between the running around and wrangling of sweet little James. I love this family so much and always look forward to seeing them. I have many favorites from our busy fall park session and am excited to share them here on the blog with you all today.
