The UM Family | Cape Elizabeth Maine Family Photographer

I kicked off August with Abbi, Aaron, Madison, and Maverick, and while I always have fun with this crew, this year takes the cake for my favorite session with them so far! As Cape Elizabeth residents they have access to Cliff House Beach in town, which I had never heard of before Abbi mentioned this locaion. I was excited to see this new spot, but had no idea the magic that was in store for me as we drove there from their house. Sitting at the bottom of a steep flight of stairs is a cove surrounded by cliffs and trees, with views of Casco Bay, Fort Gorges and all the glory of sailboats on the bay on an August evening. A few times I commented that I felt like I was in Hawaii (not that I’ve ever been there haha!), as the terrain was just so different and so special. The tide was high, so we had limited beach, but these guys were not shy about standing in the water and climbing on the rocks. Little Maverick has grown so much in a year – going from a little baby to a little toddler, and I think Madison went from age 10 to 16 overnight! I love this family, love our annual sessions, and love that this year they took me to somewhere new and special right in their backyard. Here are my favorites!
